The conversation

Is freedom a consequence of an act or a state of the mind which is expressed by that act? Is lack of freedom forced upon us or do we happily surround ourselves with stone walls and abdicate this right? These are few of the questions which I asked myself sitting in front of the sun (who has been a patient listener over the last year). That sunset marked the end of two grueling years in hell and a start of a new life that would be on my own terms regardless of what happens from now. If everything goes my way I'll be in my official second year at IIML else I'll be permanently kicked out, based on what I have written in the exams. Either way I am free. And I would not be free because of the events that unfold but because I have now learned that events are only incidental. The real struggle for freedom lies within.
